The Principal opened up and encouraged the 8th grade students to pay attention to this important program.  Ian Winter then introduced Breaking the Cycle and spoke about each of the portraits that were on the stage.  Hashim spoke focusing on forgiveness and forgiving parents and the courage it takes to do what is right.

Charles Williams then spoke telling his story and appealing to the students to forgive so that they do not wind up carrying hate for 30 years like he did.  Students paid close attention to the stories and were very responsive – one saw tears in many faces too.

Q&A ran out of time as students related their own stories and issues that face them.  It was wonderful to see representatives from the School Board, Youth Bureau and State Troopers, thanks for coming and thank you for the work you do.
