Thank you for coming to our school, and telling us your stories. I found them very interesting and deeply emotional.

As you saw, I broke into tears and the assembly. It was very powerful and it was something I was very surprised to hear. All three of you made me realize that it's better to forgive. Every time I kept hearing a different story from each of you it made me reflect that hate is never the solution. I have a voice and in my opinion it does count and I was realizing that I should speak because being depressed and not saying anything will never make me feel better. I could also be a hero for someone that may have gone through the same as me or another conflict. I really enjoyed all of you, especially knowing that you guys have been through a hard childhood, losing family members and having the courage to stand up was truly brave and amazing. I really am glad that our school and me personally got a chance to know that my voice matters and that hate is never the solution. Thank you very much.

I appreciate that you came to this school No 4 to teach us about Why Forgive? Well now I know that when you forgive it is about forgiving yourself - if you don't forgive others you can never forgive yourself.

I liked the way they told us their stories, it really got to me. Now I'm starting to think better in school and pay more attention in and out of school. I'm looking forward to reading your book you gave us today "Why Forgive?". I know it'll teach me something like knowing good from bad.

I really liked today's assembly. It made me very emotional. You guys shared some really emotional stories with us. You taught me not to hold my emotions back but to tell someone if I am feeling depressed or want to hurt myself. Also, if one of my friends come to me with something like that I will definitely do something. Thank You for sharing those amazing stories with us.

Everything that I heard today changed my way of thinking. I was very inspired from all of your story's. I will start to appreciate everything I have more because others out there are going through harder times. Forgiving people is important because its not their fault it's just that they are mad and confused. Thank you very much for everything that you have taught me today.

I just want to take this time and thank you guys so much for everything and all the stories that were told on April 8, 2016. All of the stories that you told today made me shed a tear. God brought you guys to our school for a reason and that is to share this message to change the world, to change the actions in peoples hearts. Mrs. Ann Marie D'Aliso is very inspiring, what she does is amazing. The person who I related to the most is Hashim Garrett as me, being a child right now, a human being; when he was a child he related to me, his mother had a boyfriend he didn't like and that led him to anger and he began to get more angry and get angry at everyone and everything and that's how I feel at this moment now. I promise I will seek help and learn to forgive.

I am from Joseph Battin and I just wanted to say thank you for coming to our school and helping us think of life in a different way. Most of my classmates where crying because we thought the stories where sad and thank you for the books.

Thank you for inspiring us to do better with our emotions. Your stories taught us we have people around us to help us with our depression and anger. Since you guys have been through a lot it teaches us that we aren't the only ones going through hard times and struggles.

For the last couple months I have been surrounded by anger but I have also seen many things that prove your words right. Thank you for reassuring us that forgiveness is important to people. I know so many people that have tried to end themselves but I have saved a number of them with help. You are heros to everyone who reads that book and listens to your words.

I really liked the speech that you gave. It taught me to forgive no matter what anybody has done to you in the past or present, that things like grudges and hate take away your happiness and peace, that you have to let go of the past and forgive. You should change the world make it a better place.

This was an awesome experience. It was really sad but I learned a lot from this experience. It taught me to go to an adult when I am feel depressed and when I don't feel like myself, and when I have anger for someone to go ask an adult for help.

This assembling was heartwarming. It made see things that were right in front of me. It was a roller coaster of emotions: funny, passionate, and it was the truth. It was all about forgiveness and to think that you people lived with that and then forgave the people that technically ruined their lives, its amazing.

Thank you so very much... you have helped me so much, I learned alot today. I know that you guys didn't intend to make us feel bad or sad about you stories but it did. I appreciate you coming to my school and I have learned to forgive some people. Even the ones that I didn't think I could ever talk to again but I did. The fact that you alll were able to share your stories without breaking up into tears is very courageous. I actually have tried taking my life once but im okay now that I know people will support me through everything I am going through. Life for me wasn't so easy, I was being bullied, my parents separated so I didnt have my dad around to guide me about how to handle boy's and stuff like that. It's kind of hard to talk to my mom now as we aren't very close and I'm realy not happy about that but it's okay because I know that no matter what happens and what I'm going through I always and will FOREVER have my friends and family by my side. I hope you all have an amazing day and once again, thank you. And sorry for the bad spelling, I was rushing this. lol

Those stories that were told by Hashim Garrett, Ann Marie DAliso, and Charles Williams had me thinking a lot. I have also learned a lesson from those stories. I have learned to be more cautious, more respectful, more forgiving, etc. The story that made me more sad was the one from Ann Marie, where she has lost her son in such a terrible way. It made me cringe, how he was giving those hints to many people and no one bothered to notice or ask questions. From that story, I learned to be more cautious and ask my friends if something is wrong. The story Hashim Garrett told made me make wiser choices. He had a very difficult life and he might have not thought of the right decisions. The story Charles Williams told made me think about forgiving more. Even though he hated his mother, he still was very sad when she was in the hospital. These 3 stories made me very sad, I almost cried to be honest. Thank you for telling us those stories!

Thank you for sharing your stories with us. You have proven to me that I as a human being can actually make a difference in the world. I am thankful for my life and for what I have. I will not let words break me or let me down. I will always keep my chin up and be positive. The stories were very inspiring and helped me a lot. I hope that later in life I will be able to thank them for everything they've done for me. The story that touched me the most was Hashim's, I now want to make better decisions and listen to my mother about making better decisions. I Think that Breaking the Cycle was an amazing assembly. It taught a lot of us how to forgive people for what they have done to us. Hopefully more people will take the assembly seriously and learn to think twice before they start talking. I learned: don't hang out with the wrong people, and always talk to someone.
