The people that came to EHS to tell their stories were Charles William, Hashim Garrett, and Anne Marie D'Aliso. I read the beginning of the book "Why Forgive" up to about page fifty. I read Mr. Garrett's story and saw a picture of him with long dreads. The text says, "He has not cut his hair since the day of his shooting, and keeps it in dreads as a reminder of that time," on page 27. However, when Hashim Garrett came to EHS, he had no hair on his head. I was just wondering why he cut his hair after several years of reminding himself about the incident, and whether it symbolized anything or not. Thank you!
